We care about the planet and the little people it supports which is why our dinnerware is made predominantly of bamboo (as well as natural fibres) and is compostable.
All of our Bamboo tableware is made from the bi-product of the bamboo industry, the left overs that no-one uses. We then take these leftovers and grind them to a powder, then add food grade binding resin and pour it into a mould. It is then treated not unlike porcelain where it is baked twice, first time to shape the product, the second time a decal is applied and it is sealed.
We love that no mining happens for our products, but we are especially proud that no harvesting of bamboo happens either… we are merely making use of what otherwise would have been wasted.
All of our bamboo products are 100% compostable. When mindfully disposed of, our dinnerware won’t choke the planet, because it can be broken down. When broken into small pieces and added to compost, tiny little microorganisms help to break it down for our Mother Earth. A simple choice can have you respecting our planet and nurturing your child’s future, so we’re here to help make it a good choice. Please know that as much as we wish things could last forever our bamboo can be broken when dropped. It does not smash like ceramic, but occasionally when it hits a hard floor a chip or crack may occur. We recommend you treat it carefully and with love. It will then love you back and last gorgeously while your little one grows up.
